Following the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Manifesto launch on August 23, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched an attack on the veracity of the contents of the manifesto.
In a press briefing organised by the NDC, they listed 26 projects mentioned on the government’s delivery tracker website as “nonexistent” and “blatant falsehood”.
Today on the PM Express, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah admitted that some projects like the Adenta astroturf project were mistakenly added to the list and should not have been there.
However, he was quick to state that despite that error, the government has performed extremely well in the infrastructural sector.
He called on the opposition to also present a database of completed projects for their term in office for comparison.
The controversial Agyapa Royalty deal was also discussed.
Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah urged critics of the deal not to bastardise the deal but rather bring up more substantial matters for debate.
