AFCON 2023: Black Stars slay traditional kente on arrival in Abidjan

The Black Stars touched down in Ivory Coast on Wednesday afternoon for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Ghana team rocked the traditional kente upon their arrival at the airport having left Kumasi in white kaftans.

All 27 players as well as the technical team were seen in traditional kente and slippers as they touched down in the country’s capital.

Chris Hughton’s side left Ghana in the morning after wrapping up their preparations on Tuesday with a farewell dinner.

Ghana are drawn in Group B alongside Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique. The Black Stars will face Cape Verde in their opener on Sunday, January 14.
